These graphics build awareness of ocean pollution. In the illustrated poster, the image of a woman snorkeling amongst sea creatures replaced with trash conveys the haunting prediction that by 2050, our oceans will contain more plastic items than fish. The simplified, flat drawing style and muted color palette of vintage travel posters inspired the poster’s visual language. A supplementary information graphic presents information on how pollutants enter our water system and move up the food chain into the fish we consume and ultimately affect human health.
